Hooks: 4.50 mm/US 7, 5.00 mm/US H8
Yarn:
Red Heart Super Saver Stripes (aran/#4): any colour (pictured: Preppy Stripe) – Amount: 215 meters/236 yards, 141g/5oz
Other Items Needed: Tapestry needle, Stitch marker (or thread), Measuring tape, Scissors, Pom Pom maker (or ready made pom pom)
Notes:
- This pattern is worked top-down and can be made in a day.
- The hat is made so it is one size larger than a regular beanie or toque. It is not meant to fit too tightly.
- Use the 4.50 mm/ US 7 hook on the brim if you want it slightly snug. Use the 5.00 mm/US H8 hook if you want a larger brim.

Continue using the 4.5 mm hook for a snugger brim. Switch to the 5.00 mm hook for a wider brim.
Turn to work in the opposite direction (WS). All rounds for the brim will be worked in the opposite direction.

Rnd 2+: Repeat rnd 1 for 7 (7, 7, 9, 11, 11) rnds [72(78,84,90,96,102)]
Add more rnds for a thicker rolled brim. [72(78,84,90,96,102)]
f/0 and weave in ends. Roll up the brim and you’re done!
