Testers

Pattern testers are very important in ensuring that a pattern meets standards and is understood by its users.

From time to time I look for people that can test my patterns. Currently, testers are unpaid, but get pdf copies of the patterns they test and coupons for other patterns in my Ravelry shop as a thank you. I wish I could do more, but I am not in a position to be able to. Maybe that will change in the future.

Message me if you would like to be added to my list of potential testers.

Potential testers please include:

  • What type of project you would like to test (crochet, knit) and if there is a specific category you prefer.
  • Your experience level in that subject. (My patterns range from beginner to expert.)
  • Your name and email address (For communication purposes only.)
  • Your Ravelry link where you will post your test information and completed projects.

Your information will not be visible to the public. Tester information is kept in a list visible only to me. It is only used for communication during testing. By sending me your information, you agree to my keeping it in a list offline specifically for testing purposes.

If a test opens that matches your information, I will send you an email outlining the description and requirements of the test. If you can meet the requirements and want to test, you will be added to that test in Ravelry, provided it is not already full by the time you respond.

Tester Requirements:

  • Have the required materials and can complete the project in the specified time frame.
  • Can read/write English (Sorry, I don’t have a translator and only speak one language.)
  • Can proofread as they test.
  • Will not rewrite my pattern. Testers should report mistakes to me so I can fix/change them.
  • Will at no time violate copyright by altering my pattern and/or claiming it as their own.

Testers who sign up but do not complete a test will be removed from future testing.
